Three Horizons Group  ·  Last updated: May 22, 2026

Three Horizons Group (“Three Horizons,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a brand strategy and PR agency based in Vancouver, British Columbia. We take privacy seriously, both because the law requires it and because it’s the right way to operate. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to our website, our newsletter (Marketing That Matters), and any business relationship you have with us as a client, prospect, partner, or contact.

What we collect

We only collect what we need.

Information you give us directly. When you contact us through the website, sign up for the newsletter, fill out a form, or email us, we collect the information you choose to share. That typically includes your name, email address, company, role, and whatever you tell us in the message itself.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, our servers and analytics tools collect standard technical information: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages visited, and time spent. We use this to understand how the site is performing and to improve it.

Information from our clients. In the course of doing client work, we sometimes receive information about a client’s customers, partners, employees, or contacts. We treat that information as confidential and only use it for the purpose the client engaged us for.

We don’t collect sensitive personal information (health records, government IDs, financial account numbers) unless a specific engagement requires it, and only then with clear consent and appropriate safeguards.

How we use it

We use the information we collect to:

  • Run our business and respond to inquiries.
  • Deliver the services our clients hire us for.
  • Send the newsletter to people who have asked to receive it.
  • Improve the website and understand what content is useful.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it. We do not share it with advertisers.

How we share it

We share information only in these situations:

With service providers. We use third-party tools to run the business. That includes email and newsletter platforms, hosting providers, cloud storage, analytics, CRM, and project management tools. These providers only have access to the information they need to do their job, and they’re bound by contracts that require them to protect it.

With clients. If you’re a contact of one of our clients and we’re working on their behalf, we may share relevant information with that client as part of the engagement.

For legal reasons. If required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our clients or the public, we may disclose information.

With your consent. Any other sharing happens only with your explicit permission.

Where your information is stored

We’re based in Canada, but the tools we use to run the business are often hosted in the United States or other countries. That means your information may be processed or stored outside of Canada and may be subject to the laws of those countries, including lawful requests by their governments. We choose providers with strong privacy and security practices, but you should know this is the case.

The newsletter

If you sign up for Marketing That Matters, we’ll send you the newsletter and occasional related communications. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. When you unsubscribe, we remove you from the active list. We may retain a record of your unsubscribe request to make sure we don’t email you again.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, understand site usage, and improve performance. Most browsers let you control or block cookies in your settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or similar) to understand traffic patterns. These tools collect information about your visit in aggregated, mostly anonymized form.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that’s inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Request that we delete your information, subject to legal and contractual obligations that may require us to retain it.
  • Withdraw consent for future uses of your information.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your local privacy regulator.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. We’ll respond within a reasonable timeframe, usually within 30 days.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable security measures to protect the information we hold, including encryption in transit, access controls, and limiting who on the team can see what. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as required by law or legitimate business need. When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymize it.

Children

Our services are not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the website or, if appropriate, by email.
